Spring Break! Birthday Boy!...and ZIONS!!

Spring Break....and a birthday boy! We couldnt think of a better place to spend them but Zion! We splurged and decided instead of camping, we would hike all day....then shower, and relax at the Cliff Rose Lodge & Gardens at night! It was heavenly!! We were up there for 3 days! We had a 2 bedroom suite..with the most incredible view from our porch! Did I mention we were right up to the river where the kids could play...and then there was a playground with lots of sand toys! We stayed out there for hours...! I could go on and on......
ANYWAY.. we were able to take the kids on some fun hikes. We had a friend take us to see some dinosaur tracks....(although when we got to the end it wasnt really kid accessible) But the hike was fun! Then we took them on another hike and checked out some petroglyphs. The kids liked that one too! Of course every rock was a slide they all had to climb and slide down...They are so fun! I dont think we couldve missed a thing with our 3 explorers checking everything out along the way! When we did the river walk the first day #2 child thought he was a ranger letting everyone know they needed to stay on the path...and not to feed the wildlife! It was pretty funny!
We went and got lunch in Springdale one day too....and of course some ice-cream!
Hope my now 7 year old had a happy birthday!!! We loved spending time together....it doesnt happen as much as we would like with crazy schedules! I think we found our new favorite spot though! We are already planning our next trip!

This past weekend was this lil mommy-to-be's baby shower!! ....which in turn means..lots of girls, lots of hugging, lots of laughing, possible tears, lots of food....and of course lots of pictures!
I couldn't be more excited for her. These 3 sisters are gorgeous!...(thats not the only reason I claim them as my sisters)...I love these ladies..it was so fun to see everyone!

Looks who's 5!
Our lil munchkin had a birthday! He has been talking about his #5 birthday for the last 12 months~Everyone we talked to he would invite to his birthday...including store clerks, other shoppers, mailman, perfect strangers.....and family & friends of course! He is my social butterfly! He is such a fun lil man, with an awesome personality!! He has a great imagination!! He keeps me on my toes, and laughing at the same time!! I am never surprised at the things he says and does!! We had a fun party at the park with a HUGE 'Spiderman' pinata, a 'Ninja Turtle' cake, and lots of kids! We love you!! Happy Birthady bud!!

Christmas Vacation....
ok, so here it goes...the morning after Christmas...bright and early..we headed to California to see my fam!! It was sooo much fun!! We got see see my nephew that got home from his mission, and see my other one before he leaves! We had a big post Christmas dinner at my brothers with the whole fam, with an intense game of RISK!...which in turn set a pattern for many for late nights, of intense games...of RISK! I think Matt holds the title for now...but thats ok...(keep practicing rolling those dice..haha). We spent some time with my pop dad, which is always great! We let the kids run wild in his yard, and loved it!! We even got to see my uncle Kevin and aunt Camille! My other nephew took us to eat at some cool lil place at the end of Avila pier. It was even warm enough for the kids to play at the beach! We took the kids on a lil drive down the beach too...which they loved! The boys got to go to the shooting range, and the girls got pedicures!! Everything was perfect! We cant wait to plan our next trip!
